Motorists could run into minor traffic disruptions on Battle Creeks' Capital Avenue Southwest and Territorial Roads due to sanitary sewer and electrical work beginning February 24th.
BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) -- Sanitary sewer and electric work may cause temporary traffic disruptions in the location of Capital Avenue Southwest and Territorial Road, starting on Monday, February 24th.
Harlan Electric, a Consumers Energy subcontractor, will continue electric system improvements that will close the southbound shoulder of Capital Avenue SW, in the area of Golden Avenue. The closure will start around 9 a.m. Monday, and is expected to be in place one hour, if work goes according to plans.
City contractor Taplin Group will continue the routine inspection and cleaning of the city's sanitary sewer system starting at 7 a.m. Monday, with work finishing by March 9th, weather permitting.
This round will take place on Capital Avenue SW between Minges Road and Summer Street, and on Territorial Road between Riverside Drive and 20th Street.
Streets are open during this work, but travelers may experience temporary lane closures, as this work takes place in the right-of-way.
