GREENWOOD, Okla. — Today, Fulton Street Books & Coffee is celebrating its one-year anniversary. To honor making it through its first year as a small business, in addition to surviving the pandemic, it’s hosting Bookish & Bougie: an adult book fair. The event kicks off at 6 pm tonight. Tickets are available online and at the door.
In addition to the book fair, tonight’s event promises a DJ, open bar, food catered by celebrity chef Tiffany Tisdale, an outdoor picnic, raffles, games and much more.
Fulton Street was founded by Onikah Asamoa-Caesar, a Black woman who, in July of 2020, opened the doors of her book and coffee shop with a mission to increase literacy. More than books and coffee, Fulton Street created a community-centered space that centers the stories, narratives, and lived experiences of Black folks, people of color, and other marginalized communities.
We hope you’ll join us tonight at 6 pm. Fulton Street is located at 210 W. Latimer St, Tulsa, OK 74106.
