PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The town welcomed Governor Larry Hogan on Saturday and showed him some projects intended to revitalize Main Street. This marks the first stop on the Governors five day tour on the eastern shore
Main street Princess Anne has been working with the town and other partners to improve infrastructure, and create businesses.
Governor Hogan got a tour of some of the projects including the Washington Inn and Tavern, UMES Hawks’ corner, Independence Hall, Manokin River Park and much more.
The governor spoke with business owners like Orlena and Ed Wilkes and also those with Davis Strategic management.
Business owners say they were happy to talk with Governor Hogan about what they’re working on, and how the state can help the town with their revitalization efforts. “It’s just incredible to see that we’re finally seeing some things happen down here in downtown,” says Governor Hogan. “I think people are doing a wonderful job and I’m just coming out to let them know that we’re here to help at the state level to provide whatever assistance we can to help them with the revitalization.”
The Governor tells us, he will be making around 100 different stops on his tours, and will have announcements throughout the week.
Governor Hogan will attend the Delmarva Shorebirds versus Fredericksburg game on Sunday, at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.
