Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse police are at the scene of a shooting Sunday night on South Salina Street.
Multiple people called the Onondaga County 911 Center starting at 8:17 p.m. to say a male had been shot in the chest in the 3200 block of S. Salina St., near West Pleasant Avenue, dispatchers said.
Syracuse police and firefighters, and American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance responded to the scene. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they confirmed to 911 dispatchers that a male had been shot, but provided no other details, dispatchers said.
Syracuse police confirmed a male had been shot in the chest, and they are continuing to investigate. Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call them at (315) 442-5222.
