Residents of a mobile home in the 200 block of Boodry Street in Wenatchee are now displaced after a fire Wednesday morning completely destroyed the structure.
Chelan County Fire District 1 Captain Al Torres said they received the call around 10:40 am and when crews arrived the building was fully involved.
“There’s two adults that live here and they were both outside.” explained Torres, “I spoke with them when I arrived and they let me know that nobody else was inside.”
There are no known injuries. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
Smoke from the fire could be seen throughout the Wenatchee Valley. The origin of the fire is still under investigation, but is believed to have started in the back of the residence.
Crews from Douglas County Fire District 2 also responded to the blaze.
