A rainstorm that hit Boulder around 7 p.m. Sunday flooded the intersection at Balsam Avenue and Ninth Street, taking out two cars.
Boulder police Sgt. Mike Marquez said one car got stuck in the intersection while trying to drive through the water, while a second stalled from water damage. No one was injured, he said.
The flooding extended to the nearby North Boulder Park, he said. The intersection was closed Sunday night and was being evaluated by city staff members.
