MARSHALL — Marshall residents will start seeing “No Parking” signs on some streets today.
The city says it’s giving residents advance notice not to park on those streets beginning Monday when planned resurfacing work will start. While a lot of the affected streets are all in the same residential neighborhood on the west side, construction will also affect Parkside Drive near Park Side Elementary and Baseline Road.
The city of Marshall announced Thursday that mill and overlay projects are set to begin Monday on a total of nine streets. Affected streets include London Road, Athens Avenue, Oslo Avenue, Dublin Street, Rainbow Drive, Baseline Road, Parkside Drive, Woodland Way, and Garden Circle. Duininck, Inc., will be placing signs along those routes today, the city said.
All vehicles will need to be removed from those streets before 6 a.m. Monday, the city announced. The “No Parking” signs will stay in place until new asphalt has been laid on the streets. The project contractor anticipates the resurfacing work will be done within a week, weather permitting, the city said.
