RAPID CITY, S.D. — Main Street Square held their eighth annual Frühlingsfest and Spring Market downtown Saturday.
Local vendors packed into the square with goods like home decor, specialty foods, handmade jewelry, and plants, while attendees enjoyed microbrews and live music from Black Hills band Camp Comfort.
Although things were a bit chilly to start the day, participants were happy the sun eventually came out to kick off the party.
“It’s starting to pick up…It was a little cloudy and now the sun’s out, it’s definitely picking up. There’s been lots of people coming thru…lots of faces,” said Cristina Robles, owner of Huckleberry Creek Candle Co.
“Yea! We’re down here at Frühlingsfest gettin’ our frühl on,” said lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Kevin Bradt of Camp Comfort.
Many also getting costumed-up for Black Hills Putt-n-Pub, which was held in conjunction with the Spring Market. The Putt-n-Pub event features a mini-golf course laid out around downtown — with proceeds going to support adults with disabilities at Black Hills Works…
In addition to live music and vendors, craft brew flights were available to those twenty-one or older, while others played corn-hole or hula hooped.
