Police in Lancaster County are seeking the public’s help in finding the driver they say caused significant damage in an overnight hit-and-run crash.
According to Lititz police, the crash occurred around 1:28 a.m. Sunday on North Broad Street near Kleine Lane.
After receiving 911 calls from residents who heard the crash, police got to the scene and found significant damage on the street. Police say a southbound car entered the northbound lane and hit the pedestrian bump-out, a traffic sign and two bollards.
After the crash, the car continued south on North Broad Street, police say.
From evidence left behind, police believe the striking vehicle was a white Volkswagen.
Police say the car would likely have significant front and driver’s-side damage.
Anyone with information should call the police, 717-626-6393 or email Tips@LititzPD.org or submit a tip through Crimewatch.
