Oteil Burbridge Trio (Feat. Joey Porter) Perform “Shakedown Street,” “Eyes of the World” and More at VPAC
For the second of their three shows at the Vilar Performing Arts Center, the Oteil Burbridge Trio performed a slew of Grateful Dead classics. They were joined for the evening by keyboardist Joey Porter. The show was streamed on FANS.live.
The show began with a trio of Jerry Garcia tunes: “Run for the Roses,” “Deal” and “Mission in the Rain.” Later in the set, the four musicians worked their way between Grateful Dead staple “Eyes of the World” and “King Solomon’s Marbles,” before dropping into the beloved “Shakedown Street.”
The set closed with an energetic pairing of “I Know You Rider” and “Turn On Your Love Light.” For the encore, Burbridge and his band opted for “Althea” and “Don’t Ease Me In.”
