(BLOOMINGTON) – The City of Bloomington will offer free parking on the street downtown and in City garages from Thursday, November 26 through Sunday, November 29 in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Throughout the month of December, Saturday parking in the City’s public garages at Morton and Seventh Streets and Walnut and Seventh Streets will be offered free of charge, as it will Fridays and Saturdays over the weekends of December 25-27 and January 1-3. Parking in City garages and on the street is always free on Sundays.
On-street parking is free on the following City holidays and additional dates during the upcoming season:
- Thursday, November 26, 2020
- Friday, November 27, 2020
- Saturday, November 28, 2020 (in recognition of Small Business Saturday and the Holiday Market)
- Friday, December 25, 2020
- Friday, January 1, 2021
Starting January 4, 2021, the one-hour free parking courtesy will no longer be offered in City-owned parking garages, as per an ordinance approved by the Bloomington Common Council in 2018. Sunday parking in the garages and at meters will remain free of charge in 2021.
