
Local traffic is encouraged to avoid a stretch of North Franklin Street this week.
A stretch of the road from Fayette to Seeley Street will see traffic reduced to one lane, with flaggers and a pilot car. Milling will take place today and tomorrow, with asphalt paving taking place Tuesday through Friday.
Fehr Graham is encouraging traffic to avoid using this stretch of North Franklin Street in order to minimize traffic congestion at the intersection of Main & Franklin Street.
Fayette Street will be closed for most of the week in order to remove the red concrete crosswalks and re-pave with asphalt.
Towards the end of the week, pavement will be replaced in the northbound lane of North Franklin Street by Casey’s, reducing traffic to one lane with the use of flaggers.
