
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Some streets are closed and many were left without power in the Lehigh Valley, as much of our viewing area saw flooding Tuesday.
PPL said the day's heavy rains have caused outages in the area, and that is working quickly to get power restored. The company said customers can check the status of the outages on its website.

PennDOT officials said the scene has been cleared after flooding had disrupted traffic on US 422 eastbound at North Wyomissing Blvd.

Bethlehem Mayor Robert Donchez urged city residents to be careful while driving. The Monocacy and Saucon creeks have crested, and Conestoga Street is closed, Donchez said in a tweet Tuesday afternoon.
REMINDER TO PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN DRIVING THROUGHOUT THE CITY. SAUCON AND MONOCACY CREEKS HAVE CRESTED. CONESTOGA STREET IS CLOSED. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH ANY WATER, STANDING OR FLOWING. AVOID LOW LYING AREAS. STAY OUT OF THE WATER.

Donchez said people should not drive through any water, whether standing or flowing. People should avoid low-lying areas, and stay out of the water, Donchez said.
Parts of the city has seen flooding Tuesday. Easton Road has seen heavy flooding.
Video captured a retention pond overflowing in the city Tuesday.
The warning comes as our region is seeing heavy rain and flooding. Heavy rain and high winds ripped a roof of a daycare and overturned cars in Bucks County.
The heavy rain has also flooded roads in Berks. The Reading Public Museum grounds have been flooded.
