Woman crossing street on foot killed in Reseda crash - LA Daily News

A car struck and killed a woman as she was crossing a Reseda street Monday evening, police said.

The crash was around 6:50 p.m. at Tampa Avenue and Hart Street, with the woman found in the street and taken to Northridge Trauma Center, where she died, Los Angeles Police Department officers at the scene said.

Clothes, glass, a pair of shoes and a gym bag were strewn in the street near a crosswalk shortly after the collision.

The sedan police say they believe hit the woman continued north on Tampa then stopped just south of Sherman Way. The car’s windshield was shattered but still intact. A large dent was in the car’s hood.

Detectives interviewed the driver. There was no information released Tuesday about whether an arrest would be made. The woman has not been identified.

Valley Traffic detectives have not responded to requests for comment on the crash.
