Spring Street at Cary Woods Drive will be closed temporarily beginning Monday to replace a culvert at Cary Creek.
Contractors will be completing the work to alleviate the frequent flooding of the pavement and improve safety on Spring Street where it crosses Cary Creek, according to the Cary Public Works Department.
The alternate route for through traffic on Spring Street around the worksite will be posted with detour signs. Local traffic on Spring Street north of the village’s wastewater treatment plant will not be affected by the closure, according to a news release.
The road is expected to reopen to through traffic in mid-April, but the date is subject to change depending on weather and other factors.
