Renderings: Tower plans for a barren section of Midtown Atlanta’s Spring Street - Curbed Atlanta

Renderings released today give the clearest indication of what’s in store for the residential component of a Midtown development claiming a Spring Street lot that’s been empty for eons.

Across the street from the Southeast’s largest Whole Foods, the project will bring 339 residences, all classified as “luxury,” in a 14-story tower where Spring meets 14th street.

Called Novel Midtown, it’s the fourth Crescent Communities venture under construction or in leasing phases in metro Atlanta, joining finished communities in Sandy Springs and Old Fourth Ward, with Novel Upper Westside set to deliver this summer, officials said.

As reported on these pages last month, Greenstone Properties has also launched construction on a 12-story tower with 310,000 square feet of offices at the site.

Both buildings will have retail space at street level and will share an underground parking facility, developers noted.

The first Novel residences are expected to deliver in the spring of 2022.

We’ve asked for clarification on whether the multifamily building’s one, two, and three-bedroom offerings will be apartments or condos and will update this story should that information come. All other Novel projects around Atlanta are rental communities. [UPDATE: Project reps have confirmed the building will be all rentals.]

The residences will offer leathered granite countertops, skyline views, and “luxury flooring,” officials noted.

A communal saltwater pool in the works is described as resort-style, while elsewhere a deluxe fitness center, coffee bar, yoga studio, and spas for both people and pets are planned. Have a look below.
