[VIDEO] The Shelton City Council approved resolutions Tuesday night authorizing residential street construction in the Mt. View area of the City later this month. City Engineer Ken Gill explains the work areas:
The Council awarded the residential paving contract to Agate Asphalt & Excavation for their low bid of $257,629. Agate Asphalt will pave “G” Street from Jefferson to King, “F” Street from Olympic Highway North to North 13th, Laurel Street between “C” and “F”, and Washington Street between “C” and “F”. The contractor will also cut openings for manholes on “C”, “D” and “F” streets west of Olympic Highway North.
The Council also awarded chip seal work to Doolittle Construction for their low bid of $135,046. Doolittle will apply chip seal to North 13th from Mason General Hospital to Wallace Kneeland Boulevard.
Work is expected to begin after Labor Day.
