Peoria Public Works looking for driver reports on city street issues - week.com

PEORIA (WEEK) -- If you're still out on the road and hitting potholes, the city of Peoria wants to hear from you.

With the number of drivers down due to the stay-at-home order and social distancing guidelines amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the Peoria Public Works Department is taking this time to fill potholes and cracks in city streets.

The uReport website gives residents the opportunity to report information and observations to Public Works for items such as potholes, broken streetlights and damaged curbs. Photos will also be able to be submitted in the report.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Visit peoriagov.org/peoria-cares-ureport/
  2. Select the appropriate category, “Streets, Parking & Traffic” under, “All Reports”
  3. Next, choose, “Potholes, Street Repairs”
  4. Enter the location of your observations, your information and an incident description
  5. Then click, “Submit”

“With an average of 20,000 potholes filled each year, this system is a surefire way to help the city keep track of the work needed to keep our infrastructure running smooth,” said Sie Maroon, superintendent of Operations at Public Works.
